Aces won’t give up without a fight–Compton

Down 0-3 in this best-of-seven PBA Governors’ Cup finals, the statistics don’t favor Alaska.
No team in the PBA has ever come back from such deep disadvantage to still win it all.
But don’t tell that to Alaska coach Alex Compton, who believes his Aces can pull off their most amazing comeback.
“Somebody had to be the first man to walk on the moon. Somebody have to be the first on everything. I like swinging for the fences. We’re gonna play and it should be, if San Miguel’s gonna win this series, they had to earn it,” said Compton.
Though some are already counting the Aces out and doubting their spirit, Compton is confident that his boys will come out with the same grit come Friday on Game 4.
“One of the building blocks for our team is honor. We’ll honor the game and we’ll be there playing,” he said.
“We will not roll over. That’s not what we do in practice, that’s not what we do when no one’s watching. We’re going out there and play.” (DL)
