If you were to ask Josan Nimes to choose which team he’d like to play for, the Mapua Cardinals forward would loved to be picked by Alaska.

“I’m leaning a little bit to Alaska. I think a lot of people likes Alaska’s system, how everybody gets a chance to play and the free-flowing way they play. The coach gives everybody opportunities, they go up-and-down,” he said.

But that does not mean that Nimes isn’t willing to play for any other squad in the PBA.

“I’m not choosy with any team though. I’ll be happy with whatever team takes me.”

The 24-year-old could not hide his excitement on possibly starting the next chapter of his basketball career.

“I can’t wait. I’m very, very excited and anxious and I know that there’s a lot of emotions because it’s the Draft and you never know what to expect,” he said.

Part of his decision to finally make the jump was his performance so far in the NCAA season 91.

“I think that I’ve been in college for too long. I think I’ve been playing good since the preseason and that made people remember me again after I was gone for a while.”

“I think I showed my game and what I can do this year so I feel it’s a good time for me to turn pro,” Nimes continued. “I think I’ll bring energy and excitement to a team. I don’t see someone who plays my game. For my size, I could pass and shoot, get everybody involved, so I think I can bring a lot to the PBA and I could help any team which picks me.”
