The opening of the 41st Season of the PBA scheduled Sunday won’t push  through  due to Typhoon “Lando.”

The PBA  has decided to  reschedule the opening ceremonies for Wednesday in an advisory from league commissioner Chito Narvasa  Sunday morning.

The league was supposed to hold its opening ceremonies  Sunday at 3 p.m.  followed by a game between the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the Star Hotshots at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“The PBA decided to postpone today’s opening due to bad weather,” Narvasa said in an advisory. “Instead, we shall have the formal opening on Wednesday with the same game to be played. The safety of our people is our priority.”
Wednesday’s games will be played at Mall of Asia Arena with the PBA providing assistance to those affected by the typhoon, according to PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial.
