TNT loss spoils Rosario’s best game yet; ‘Mas gugustuhin ko yung panalo’
Posting his best game to date, Troy Rosario could not hide his disappointment as Talk ‘N Text suffered a meltdown and dropped a 107-101 decision to NLEX on Friday,
“Wala rin eh. Parang wala lang din yung performance. Mas gugustuhin ko yung panalo kaysa yung ganun na puntos,” he said, after he finished with 20 points and seven rebounds in the defeat.
Leading by as much as 17 in the third quarter, the Tropang Texters failed to close the game out and allowed the Road Warriors to upend them in the end.
“Nag-collapse eh. Na-kumpyansa masyado pag nakalamang. Pangit para sa amin yun kasi lamang kami ng 17 ng third, and then naubos na lang,” Rosario said.
None of the usual things worked for the usual up-tempo TNT as they got outran by NLEX, resulting to a 35-21 discrepancy in fastbreak points, and its leader Jayson Castro struggled to find his mark from threes with a 0-for-8 shooting.
But for Rosario, it’s a matter of communicating more in their end in order for TNT to bounce back in its next game.
“Nag-relax lang sa game na ito. Nagkakaamuyan pa rin naman. Andun ang chemistry. May time lang talaga na nag-relax kaya rin nakahabol ang NLEX,” he said.
The Tropang Texters face Blackwater on Wednesday.
