PBA D-League: AMA puts rookie Sargent at the forefront

AMA raised a few eyebrows when it nabbed Julian Sargent as the second overall pick in 2015 PBA D-League Rookie Draft.
But for coach Mark Herrera, everything the Titans did to build the team up was according to plan.
“Sya talaga ang option ko,” he said, showing no doubts in his selection of the La Salle winger.
Herrera continued, “Sinubaybayan ko yung career nya sa UAAP. Iba yung pagka-workhorse nya. May offense sya at defense. Siguro pag pinasok sya, quality minutes.”
With the Aspirants’ Cup unfurling Thursday, AMA is putting Sargent at the forefront of the team’s campaign.
“With my team, medyo makikita yung totoong Sargent na talagang ineexpect ng tao na pang-PBA,” Herrera said. “With the veterans like JR Taganas, Jerramy King, and James Martinez, malaking tulong sya sa akin.”
