BIÑAN—Elijah Millsap only needed one game to feel convinced that San Miguel is prepared for the 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup playoffs.

“We’re ready, we just gotta do better at the defensive end,” said Millsap after the Beermen’s 107-101 victory over the Blackwater Elite Sunday at Alonte Sports Arena.

Millsap’s first run with the San Miguel franchise was in 2013 when the team was called the Petron Blaze Boosters.

Unfortunately for Millsap, the younger brother of Atlanta Hawks All-Star Paul Millsap, the team lost to the San Mig Coffee Mixers.

Millsap added he doesn’t have any problems fitting in with the Beermen, who finished the eliminations with an 8-3 slate and the No. 2 seed following TNT’s 104-92 win over Barangay Ginebra in the second game.

“It’s all good, we just have to straighten things out for the playoffs and play the way we want to play,” said Millsap, who is SMB’s third import this conference after AZ Reid and Mike Singletary.
