San Miguel rolled to its fifth victory on Wednesday but it wasn’t all fun and games when its starting point guard Alex Cabagnot had to be rushed to the hospital after suffering a broken nose following the Beermen’s win over the Meralco Bolts.

Cabagnot suffered the injury after colliding with Meralco forward Cliff Hodge at the 8:10 mark of the third quarter.

Beermen head coach Leo Austria said Cabagnot is in the injured list indefinitely as they still don’t know when their floor general will be medically cleared to play.

“He’s a tough guy and he wants to come back,” said Austria. “It depends on when he can play, because we won’t sacrifice his health for a game.”
