Self discipline key to keep career going for Yancy de Ocampo

To maintain his tip-top shape, San Miguel Beer veteran center Nancy De Ocampo said he sees to it that he has self-discipline as far as taking care of his body is concerned.

De Ocampo, whose yunger brother Ranidel plays for TNT, is now in his 15th season in the PBA starting career with the defunct Fedex Express, who made him the top overall pick overalll in 2002 Draft. 

“Matagal na tayo sa liga so kailangan talaga self-discipline lalo na kapag big man. Alam mo naman madalas yung banggaan sa ilalim,malingat ka lang hindi mo alam, pwede ka ma-injure,”  De Ocampo said.

The 36-year old slotman believes sustaining a healthy diet enables him to keep up against younger big men and maintains his longevity.
