Analyn Almazan proved to be the biggest difference as NLEX claimed the PBA Tag Heuer Women’s 3-on-3 Tournament title, sweeping NLEX, 11-6, in Game 2 of their best-of-three Finals series Monday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Almazan captained the Road Warriors’ run, scoring three of her team’s first five points to erect a 5-1 lead. That hot start took the fight out of the Elasto Painters, who came out sluggish.

Katherine Sandel paced NLEX with five points, while Almazan added four markers.

Angelica Ortega chimed in a pair in the victory.

“Sobrang blessed lang namin na nakuha namin ito,” said Ortega, as the Road Warriors improved from their third place finish last conference.

Ara Abaca could not carry Rain or Shine alone as she finished with five points.

The scores:

NLEX 11 – Sandel 5, Almazan 4,  Ortega 2, Bernardo 0.

RAIN OR SHINE 6 – Abaca 5, Mendoza 1, K. Garcia 0, N. Garcia 0
