SMB, MERALCO FACE OFF AT BLUE EAGLE GYM
Meralco tests San Miguel Beer when the 2014 PBA Holcim Liga ng Bayan Preseason Games resume Saturday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City.
Parading a new squad steered by a new coach in Norman Black, the Bolts hope that their tactician’s winning touch will rub off on the squad.
Meralco is coming off of a 91-79 win over Ginebra in Panabo last week, and will be banking on the good performance shown by John Wilson, Reynel Hugnatan, and Sean Anthony.
Expected to rejoin the team will be Gilas stalwarts Gary David and Jared Dillinger.
San Miguel Beer, meanwhile, is preparing for the season with a renewed sense of confidence with coach Leo Austria at the helm.
MVP June Mar Fajardo is primed to lead the squad once more, with Arwind Santos, Marcio Lassiter and Chris Lutz backing up the already strong roster of the Beermen.
Rookie Ronald Pascual could be making his PBA debut after suffering an injury in the early weeks of San Miguel’s training camp.
