In the third game, Tanduay Light kept its quarterfinals hopes alive with a 74-66 win over AMA University
Super sub Jaypee Belencion led the Rhum Masters with 17 points, five boards and two steals, while Aljon Mariano helped Tanduay’s cause with his near double-double of eight markers and nine boards.
“Mahirap makuha yung consistency sa line-up na meron ako. But we did the best on our end. We’re now hoping for the best,” said Tanduay Light coach Lawrence Chongson. “Habang may buhay may pag-asa.”
Carrying a 5-6 record, the Rhum Masters would be hoping for a Bread Story defeat against Racal Motors on Monday to secure the sixth spot and avoid elimination.
