4 E-PAINTERS IN ALL-STAR GAME TESTAMENT TO ROS TEAMWORK
For the Rain or Shine players who were picked to be part of the 2015 PBA All-Star Game, their selection is just a testament of coach Yeng Guiao’s balanced approach to the games.
“Ibig sabihin nun, walang superstar sa amin,” said Beau Belga. Andun kami as a group. Sabi nga nila, the more the merrier.”
Gabe Norwood added, “Teamwork helps. Coach Yeng preaches that and everybody buys in to their roles and it shows that the league appreciates it.”
Along with Paul Lee, Belga and Norwood will be playing for the North side, while Chan will be the lone Elasto Painter playing for the South All-Stars.
Though outnumbered in his side, the Negros Occidental gunner is unfazed.
But Belga assured his fellow Gilas comrade that he won’t be giving Chan one of his patented hard picks and fouls.
We’re going to make the most out of it. We’re there to have fun and enjoy the game. Yun ang magiging tema nun,” he said.
Though the Rain or Shine players wished that they share the midseason festivities with their coach, Belga believes that in Guiao’s subtle way, he’s proud for the accomplishment of his wards.
(RL)
