BATANG PIER PLUGGING HOLES FOR GOVS’ CUP CAMPAIGN
Looking to erase the nightmare of its early exit in the Commissioner’s Cup, GlobalPort will be beefing up its lineup with the acquisition of Patrick O’Bryant and Omar Krayem for the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup.
O’Bryant, 28, is a former NBA veteran who played for the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors before treading his way through the NBA D-League, Greece, Puerto Rico, Lithuania and China.
The 7-footer last suited up for Taiwan Beer in the Taiwanese Super Basketball League and is a sure boost to the Batang Pier’s frontline alongside newly acquired big men Doug Kramer and Billy Mamaril.
Krayem, 28, meanwhile, is coming off of a stint with Mineros de Caborca in Mexico.
The playmaker also suited up in leagues in Sweden, Finland, Hungary and his native country Palestine.
His inclusion in the GlobalPort lineup will bolster an already ferocious backcourt sporting Terrence Romeo, Stanley Pringle and Denok Miranda. (RL)
