PBA Draft Focus: GlobalPort Batang Pier
Picks: None
As much as its past rookie selections have been fruitful for Globalport, the Batang Pier will have to find diamonds in the rough from the undrafted list.
Providing the muscle in the middle to complement the explosive pair of Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle should be a priority for the coach Pido Jarencio especially after the acquisition of veteran guard Joseph Yeo in the off-season.
But without a selection, Globalport’s chances of landing a solid player who can make an impact right away has already been diminished.
The guard-centric offense of GlobalPort has produced a fair share of success this past season, and it wouldn’t really be a surprise if the Batang Pier stays on the course and just improve on maturity.
The 2015 Gatorade PBA Rookie Draft is just one of those instances where the Batang Pier have not much to lose and everything to gain.
