Justin Brownlee had a mediocre offensive output in Ginebra’s Game 4, and even though it came off in a 88-86 win for the Gin Kings, the import knows he could’ve done better.

And he did just that in Game 5 as the Gin Kings trumped Ginebra, 92-81, to take a 3-2 series lead in the 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals.

Brownlee poured in 29 points, 20 coming in the first half, to go along 10 rebounds, and two steals.

“Just my aggression, I think I came out pretty aggressive from the start of the game,” said Brownlee Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“I just tried to be aggressive and still have a balance with getting my team involved and I think I did a pretty good job at that tonight.”

And Brownlee’s eagerness trickled down to his teammates as they shot the ball at an impressive 52 percent, 40-of-77, while holding down the Bolts to 40 percent, 22-of-48.

Brownlee, however, said the Kings are not finished and they still have to put on an even better outing in Game 6 to clinch the title.

“We’re not done, we’re not satisfied, 3-2 is just a game ahead, it’s not winning the series,” said Brownlee. “So we’re just trying to stay confident and look forward to the next game.”
