ANTIPOLO—The PBA Commissioner’s Cup standings may not yet be finalized with more than half the league still yet to play their last elimination games, but Meralco head coach Norman Black is almost certain they’ll face TNT.

Black and the Bolts finished their elimination round schedule with a 7-4 record after losing to Ginebra, 90-89, Sunday at Ynares Sports Center here and now sit at the fifth spot in the standings.

“We probably would face TNT I would imagine, more likely, so we just have to sit down and figure out what they’ll do offensively and defensively,” said Black.

The KaTropa also finished their schedule the same day as Meralco but not in the same way the Bolts did.

TNT overcame Rain or Shine, 105-102, in the first game of Sunday’s double-header for an 8-3 record, good enough for the fourth seed.

Meralco and TNT last faced on March 24 with the Bolts winning, 94-89, but things have changed since then.

“We just have to prepare for them, because it’s them who we’re expecting to play,” said Black.
