CASTRO ON PRINGLE: “MAGALING TALAGA”
One of the sidelights to the GlobalPort – Talk n Text match last Tuesday was the matchup between veteran Jayson Castro and rookie Stanley Pringle.
As we all know, Terrence Romeo took the spotlight and there were not enough face-to-face encounters for the two shifty playmakers during the game. However, being on the floor with the rookie who has been compared to him so many times in the past, Jayson Castro walked away impressed.
“Magaling sya,” Castro said of Pringle after emerging from the locker room in the wake of Talk ‘N Text’s 97-105 loss to GlobalPort.
“Marami syang move pag hawak nya ang bola. Quick yung first step nya, pero he looks to pass. Iniinvolve nya yung teammates nya,” Castro added.
The Blur is most impressed with Pringle’s ability to share the rock with his teammates, saying that watching the 6-foot-1 guard alone gives you an idea of how unselfish the rookie is.
“Team player sya, di sya more on individual stats. Once dumrive sya, kinikickout nya talaga pag may depensa. Di nya pinupwersa,” he said.
When asked to describe Pringle, Castro didn’t hold back on his superlatives.
“Magaling talaga,” he said. (RL)
