New Year brings in a new positive outlook for teams.

But for Cyrus Baguio, he just wants to close out an unfinished business from 2014.

“Pag nananalo, di mo ramdam yung pagod eh. Ang bigat ng pakiramdam pag talo. Ngayon, nauna na kami, kaya sana ma-close na namin sa next game kasi delikado talaga itong Rain or Shine. Sana makuha namin,” he said.

With their semifinal series on his mind, Baguio admitted that he opted not celebrate that heavily during the New Year.
“Di ako nagpuyat kasi may practice na kami kinabukasan eh.

“New Year kaya happy-happy rin muna ako kasama ang pamilya. Pero pagpatak ng ala-una, tulog na,” he said.
Baguio said that he’d rather have a celebration later in 2015 than celebrating early as he has other bigger things in mind, particularly the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup.

“Mas maganda siguro icelebrate pag nakapasok na sa Finals,” he said.

Looking to end the longest all-Filipino title drought among all the active teams, the Aces are ahead in their best-of-seven semifinal against the Elasto Painters 3-2 with Game 6 slated Sunday at the MOA Arena.

No. 1 playoffs seed San Miguel Beer is already waiting in the best-of-seven Finals which begins either Jan. 7 or 9 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. (RL)
