If not for basketball, Aces rookie Cruz would’ve been a pro DotA player
Had he not been a basketball player, Alaska rookie Carl Bryan Cruz said that he would have been a professional player of the popular computer game DotA (Defense of the Ancient).
“Kung hindi ako naging basketball player baka DotA player ako kasi nung bata ako mahilig ako sa computer games,” the 25-year old Cruz revealed.
The amiable 6-foot-4 forward even took a short trip down memory lane, reminiscing on an incident back in his good old days when he still have the luxury to play almost four hours of electronic games.
“Sinusundo pa nga ‘ko ng tatay ko sa computer shop para umuwi e. Tumatakas pa ‘ko,” recalled the Gilas cadet with a chuckle.
But thanks to his hoops-crazed friends, Cruz’s attention shifted to the game of basketball.
But the former Far Eastern University star bared that if time permits, he might give his old hobby another try.
“Kung may mahabang time, ‘pag walang practice o ‘pag long break, siguro maglalaro rin ako paminsan-minsan.” Jeremiah Sevilla
