Rain or Shine and Barako Bull collide Sunday with the same thing in mind — getting back on track.
The Elasto Painters are coming off a nine-day respite after playing two games in two nights in Dubai. They won the first one 119-112 against GlobalPort last May 21 but didn’t show the legs likely because of the long trip and that tiring first game when they lost 24 hours later to Barangay Ginebra 93-81.
The Energy, on the other hand, after matching the best start ever in a conference in franchise history, absorbed their first defeat at the hands of San Miguel Beer 116-113 last Wednesday.
Rain or Shine, runnerup in this very same conference last season to San Mig Coffee, now the Star Hotshots, is just one game out of the cellar with its 1-3 win loss record while Barako Bull now shares the lead in the standings with Alaska with their identical 4-1 slates going into the halfway point of this 2015 PBA Governors Cup single round-robin eliminations which rewards playoff berths to just the Top 8 finishers.
Gametime for this E-Painters-Energy dogfight is at 3:00 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. (FM)
