History will be made on Sunday.
Blackwater and Mahindra, the two expansion teams which came to the league last season, will have a chance to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time in their franchise’s history.
However, they have to do it at each other’s expense when the two teams clash at Smart Araneta Coliseum. Game time is at 3 p.m.
With both teams carrying an identical 2-8 record, both the Elite and the Enforcers will be vying for that elusive number 10 spot. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals with a twice-to-win disadvantage against a formidable Rain or Shine squad.
Young cogs like Art dela Cruz, Carlo Lastimosa, and JP Erram are expected to carry the fight for the Elite with Reil Cervantes and Mike Cortez supporting their cause.
However, a feisty Enforcers squad looks ready to upend their rivals, with Aldrech Ramos, Nino Canaleta, and Bradwyn Guinto leading the attack for Mahindra.
