A pair of first rounders should be a welcome addition to NLEX after an inconsistent first season in the PBA.
Picking in the middle of the first round, coach Boyet Fernandez is eyeing to improve the talent on his Road Warriors roster all over.
The Rookie Draft should infuse youth to that aging core, providing a much needed help for leaders Asi Taulava, Mac Cardona, and Jonas Villanueva.
In a pool overflowing with guards, NLEX has the luxury of picking a who could fit in Fernandez’ system.
It can also use its second first-rounder on a wing player to add to its versatile forward position with Nino Canaleta, Aldrech Ramos, and Mark Borboran in tow.
It’s just the win-win situation for NLEX this draft as they hopes to fare better against their other two MVP group sister squads.
