Picks: (First Round) No. 11; (Second Round) No. 6, No. 9, No. 11

There’s really nothing much to add to a team like Alaska, which flaunts one of the deepest rosters in the PBA.

The Aces didn’t win a championship in the 2015 PBA season but they made the Finals twice and came within a possession or two away from a Philippine Cup title.

FEATURED STORIES

But given a chance to further improve the team, Alaska will surely take a close look at the coming 2015 Gatorade PBA Rookie Draft. The Aces have the rights to the 11th overall pick and the ninth pick in the second round.

A team loaded with talent in every position will take the best available talent rather than choosing the player that will address the areas needed because so far the Aces don’t have a lot of holes in their roster.

But with Alaska head coach Alex Compton known to put premium on defense, don’t be surprised if he goes for a shotblocker to protect the paint and a player like Ping Exciminiano, who is a relentless on-ball defender.

Compton is also know to bring the best out of his wards that regardless of who Alaska picks in the draft, he is sure to find the perfect roles for those players.
